Environmental Impact Assessment procedure status

—24 Nov 2011

As was previously announced Trans-Balkan Pipeline B.V. (TBP) had received a positive evaluation of the ESIA documentation quality for Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline Project which allows the Company to proceed to the stage of public hearings in both countries. As of to date the decision on when the public hearings will be carried out has not been made.

In accordance with the legislation of Bulgaria the documentation on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Bulgarian part of the pipeline is available on the official web-site of the Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria (in Bulgarian language).
When the decision on the opening of the public hearings is made, the Company will make an official announcement and will act in full compliance with the applicable legislation of Bulgaria and Greece. Following the best international practice the Company will upload the full ESIA studies for Bulgaria and Greece on TBP’s website (in Bulgarian, Greek and English languages) and update the Public Consultation and Disclosure Plan for both countries which will explain the program for disclosure and public hearings.
